    HOUSTON LGBT CHAMBER CELEBRATES FIRSTYEAR
    More than 50 members have joined organization

    HOUSTON (March 6, 2017) – The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its first anniversary and marking significant achievements in its first full year.

    The Chamber officially launched on February 24, 2016 and has since grown to include more than 50 members. Chamber Co-Founders Tammi Wallace and Gary Wood said they were pleased with the organization’s accomplishments over the last year, which include:

    HOUSTON (March 7, 2017) - The Coalition of Texas Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Chambers of Commerce; Austin Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce, North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce, and San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce, representing nearly 800 member/employers oppose SB6 and all proposed legislation that discriminates against any Texan.

    HOUSTON (February 5, 2017) – As Houston prepares to host the Super Bowl, at least six local LGBT-owned businesses are reaping the rewards of Houston hosting the big game, thanks to a new chamber of commerce and the NFL’s commitment to diversity.  The Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce launched earlier this year and began a strong collaboration with the Super Bowl Host Committee to ensure that local LGBT business owners were well represented in the NFL’s Business Connect program.

    GREATER HOUSTON LGBT CHAMBER LAUNCHES

    HOUSTON (February 24, 2016) – A group of local business leaders have launched a new chamber of commerce in Houston aimed at increasing economic opportunity for LGBT-owned area businesses

    The chamber was officially launched at an LGBT Business Builders event hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Other partners for the event, which was held at Houston Community College – West Loop, included Affinity Magazine, Houston Community College and OutSmart Magazine.
