VOTER INFORMATION RESOURCES

2026 Election Year
Before the March Primary, voters in Texas’ 18th Congressional District will return to the polls for a runoff election after no candidate received a majority of votes in the initial contest. Early voting for the TX-18 runoff starts January 21. While runoff elections often see low turnout, they play a decisive role in determining who advances and ultimately represents the district.
The broader election cycle continues with the March 3 Primary, with early voting beginning February 17. This is followed by potential runoffs in May, which then culminate in the November General Election. Primary elections determine which candidates move forward to November and frequently have an outsized impact on local, county, state, and judicial races, especially in Harris County.
While the November General Election brings together voters across parties and backgrounds, its choices are shaped months earlier. Participating in every phase of the election process, primary, runoff, and general elections helps ensure elected leaders reflect the will of the community they serve.
