The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the 2026 Pride In Business Awards, part of our 10-Year Anniversary celebration honoring a decade of building an economy where everyone belongs.
These awards recognize outstanding member businesses, leaders, and advocates who are creating opportunity, championing inclusion, and strengthening the LGBTQ+ economic ecosystem across Greater Houston.
At a time when LGBTQ+ visibility, inclusion, and belonging continue to matter deeply, the Pride In Business Awards shine a spotlight on those who don’t just show support — they lead with purpose, resilience, and impact.
We’re seeking nominations for individuals and organizations who:
- Lead with integrity and authenticity
- Foster inclusive, welcoming workplaces
- Drive economic opportunity and community impact
- Show up visibly and consistently in support of the LGBTQ+ community

LGBTQ+ BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes an LGBTQ+-owned member business that exemplifies excellence and a strong commitment to the Chamber's mission of accelerating economic opportunities for the LGBTQ+ and Allied community.
This business demonstrates leadership through its dedication to the broader community, actively supports fellow members by fostering connections and promoting opportunities and has a proven record of success. Their achievements serve as an inspiring example for other Chamber members and the wider LGBTQ+ and Allied business community. Eligibility: Open to Business Level Members only.
LGBTBE® CERTIFIED BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes an LGBTBE® Certified Member Business that has proudly achieved certification and demonstrates outstanding success.
This business serves as an inspiring example for other Chamber members, showing commitment to both business excellence and the mission of promoting economic inclusion for the LGBTQ+ and Allied community. Eligibility: Open to LGBTBE® Certified Member Businesses only.
ALLIED BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
This award honors an Allied-owned business that is an active member of the Chamber and demonstrates a strong commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion through its actions, work, and visible support of the community.
With a proven track record of success and engagement, this business stands as a dedicated advocate for the Chamber’s mission and the broader LGBTQ+ community. Eligibility: Open to Allied Business Level Members only.
IMPACT PARTNER OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes a corporation that has shown outstanding dedication as an Impact Partner of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
This company exemplifies an unwavering commitment to the LGBTQ+ community by championing workplace inclusion and equity. Through its partnership with the Chamber and supportive policies and programs for LGBTQ+ and Ally employees, the company plays an active role in advancing equality. Eligibility: Open to Impact Partners only.
CORPORATE LGBTQ+ ALLY OF THE YEAR
This award honors an individual who has made a significant positive impact within their company by advocating for LGBTQ+ inclusion.
As a champion for the LGBTQ+ community, they have worked inside their company to create a supportive environment for employees, customers, and the broader community. Eligibility: Open to Impact Partners only.
BUSINESS/EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUP OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes a Chamber Impact Partner business or employee resource group that actively supports and fosters a culture of inclusion and acceptance within the workplace.
The group serves as a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusion, both within the company and in alignment with the Chamber’s mission of promoting economic inclusion. Eligibility: Open to Impact Partners only.
SUPPLIER INCLUSION ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR
This award honors a professional working in supplier inclusion or procurement who has been a passionate advocate for inclusion, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ and Allied businesses, within the broader business community.
Through their efforts, this individual has actively worked to create opportunities for diverse suppliers. Eligibility: Open to Impact Partners only.
NONPROFIT MEMBER OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes a nonprofit member that consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion through its actions, programs, and visible support of the community.
The organization has a proven history of success and active engagement and is a passionate advocate for the Chamber and its work and mission. Eligibility: Open to Nonprofit Members only.
CHAMBER CHAMPION AWARD
This award recognizes an individual who is a dedicated advocate for both the Chamber and the LGBTQ+ community.
Through their work and impact, this person plays a key role in advancing economic prosperity and creating opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community. Note: This award is chosen by Chamber Leadership and is not open for nominations.
COMMUNITY LEGACY AWARD
This award recognizes an individual or organization that has shown a longstanding commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
Through advocacy, service, education, or community initiatives, they have made a lasting and positive impact, significantly contributing to the well-being and advancement of the LGBTQ+ community. Note: This award is chosen by Chamber Leadership and is not open for nominations.
CHAMBER ADVOCACY AWARD
This award recognizes an organization that is a dedicated advocate for both the Chamber and the LGBTQ+ community.
Through its efforts and impact, this organization plays a key role in raising visibility for the LGBTQ+ community while advancing opportunities and economic prosperity. Note: This award is chosen by Chamber Leadership and is not open for nominations.
GENERAL AWARDS CRITERIA
Encouragement of Self-Nominations
- Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged.
Eligibility of Prior Honorees
- Prior Pride In Business Award Honorees are not eligible to win in the same category again.
Criteria for LGBTQ+ Designated Awards
- For awards that denote LGBTQ+ status, the nominee must self-identify as an LGBTQ+ individual, or the business must be more than 51% LGBTQ+-owned.
Criteria for LGBTBE® Awards
- For awards recognizing LGBTBE® businesses, the nominee must be LGBTBE® Certified and their certification must be in good standing with the certifying body (NGLCC).
Nomination Deadline
- Nominations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Nominee Consent
- If you are nominating another member, please confirm they are willing to accept the award and commit to participating in the Pride In Business Celebration on June 12, 2026.
Nominee Availability
- If nominees must also attend specific events (e.g., photo shoots, interviews, or sponsor-related activities), these requirements will be outlined clearly in advance.
Membership Status for Eligibility
- In order to be eligible for a Pride In Business Award, nominees must be a member/partner in good standing with the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
