Get OUT the VOTE Campaign
Civic participation is economic participation.
The Chamber’s Get OUT the VOTE (GOTV) Campaign is a nonpartisan initiative designed to increase civic engagement and voter participation within the LGBTQ+ and allied community across Greater Houston.
We believe that a thriving, inclusive economy depends on informed and engaged voters. Through our Get OUT the VOTE efforts, we ensure business owners, nonprofit leaders, professionals, and community members have the information and resources they need to participate in local, state, and national elections.
Our Get OUT the VOTE Efforts Include:
- Sharing nonpartisan voter information and key election dates
- Promoting voter registration and verification resources
- Encouraging early voting participation
- Providing reminders through email, social media, and events
- Highlighting civic engagement opportunities
The campaign focuses on education, awareness, and accessibility — ensuring members understand how elections impact economic development, workforce policy, public safety, infrastructure, and business growth.
Nonpartisan Commitment
The Chamber’s Get OUT the VOTE campaign is strictly nonpartisan. We do not endorse candidates through this initiative. Instead, we:
- Provide equal access to information
- Create spaces for civic dialogue
- Encourage informed participation
- Support engagement across the political spectrum
Our goal is simple: strengthen democracy by increasing participation from the LGBTQ+ and allied economic ecosystem.
We partner with our Civic Partner and Chamber Member, League of Women Voters of Houston, to provide trusted, nonpartisan voter and election resources each election cycle.Â

VOTER INFORMATION
2026 Election Year
The 2026 election year includes many election cycles, including the March Primary and November General Election.
Primary elections determine which candidates move forward to November and frequently have an outsized impact on local, county, state, and judicial races.
While the November General Election brings together voters across parties and backgrounds, its choices are shaped months earlier. Participating in every phase of the election process, primary, runoff, and general elections, helps ensure elected leaders reflect the will of the community they serve.
Plus, this year, there is a special election to fill the vacancy for Council Member, City of Houston, District C.

March Primary
The March Primary will be held on March 3rd, with early voting beginning February 17. This is followed by potential runoffs in May, which then culminate in the November General Election.

The Houston Voters Guide

The League of Women Voters of Houston distributes a trusted Voters Guide every Primary Election. The guide includes candidate questionnaire responses and essential voting information to help you make informed choices at the ballot box. This trusted, nonpartisan resource helps voters understand what’s on their ballot and where candidates stand, before Election Day.
Print editions will be available at various Chamber events.
For over 105 years, the League of Women Voters of Houston has provided nonpartisan election information to Harris County voters. Learn more at houstonvotersguide.org.
